The European Union (EU) provides internships on a number of interests, ranging from science and research to economy and trade to press and public diplomacy. Delegations in Washington, New York and Europe all offer internships but should be contacted specifically for information relating to their own positions. The internships are intended to provide students and graduates with the opportunity to acquire knowledge of the European Union, its institutions, laws, operations, and other areas of focus. Interns should expect to work on a full time basis, 35-40 hours a week Monday through Friday.
